World Day of Prayer

The first Monday of every November is the Baptist Women’s World Day of Prayer. The Day of Prayer program is translated into more than 80 languages so thousands upon thousands of Baptist women gather to pray for each other on that special day.

It is called day of prayer because literally as the world turns, women are praying from the eastern hemisphere of the world all the way around to the west. We are linking arms, standing in solidarity with each other on that special day.

Also that day, an offering is taken towards the ministries that your Continental Union carries out and the global work of Baptist World Alliance Women. (BWA Women)

The prayer focus for the 2020 Day of Prayer will be will be contributed to by all the Continental Branches of BWA Women. The theme will be “LIFE!” The new material for the 2020 Day of Prayer is available on the Baptist World Alliance Women website.

There’s also going to be an online event for Baptist Women of the Pacific, which will be an exciting opportunity to gather together from all over the Pacific region to pray.
