A Masterpiece of Faith, Culture and Connection
Celebrating the 2025 BWP Quinquennial Conference
On 4–5 July 2025, nearly 200 women from across the Pacific gathered at Future Church in Brisbane for the Baptist Women of the Pacific Quinquennial Conference.
Held every five years, this special gathering brought women together for two wonderful days of worship, friendship, cultural celebration, biblical teaching and shared learning. Our theme, “Masterpiece,” was inspired by Ephesians 2:10 and invited us to explore how faith can be expressed creatively through culture and craft.
The gathering celebrated the unique artistry found throughout the Pacific and the creativity God has placed within women made in God’s image. Together, we explored how cultural art and traditional craft practices can become powerful expressions of worship, fellowship, healing, storytelling and witness.
Friday evening was filled with colour, joy and energy as women shared songs, dance, worship and cultural traditions from their nations and regions. On Saturday, we continued with worship, messages from God’s Word, shared stories and workshops led by women who use art and craft in creative ways to serve God and their communities.
It was a beautiful reminder that although our cultures and expressions are wonderfully diverse, we are united through our faith in Jesus and our shared identity as sisters across the Pacific.
The conference was held immediately before the BWA Women Global Summit and the Baptist World Alliance Congress in Brisbane. Many women continued on to these global gatherings, making the journey an even richer opportunity to connect, worship and learn alongside Baptist women and leaders from around the world.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who helped make the 2025 gathering possible—and to every woman who travelled, participated and so generously shared her culture, creativity, faith and story.
